Terms and Conditions for Bostin' Plumbing Ltd's Services
These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern the provision of plumbing services ("Services") by Bostin’ Plumbing Ltd, a limited company registered in the United Kingdom ("Company").
1. Service Agreement:
By engaging our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding the Services provided.
2. Scope of Services:
We offer domestic plumbing services including but not limited to installation, repair and reasonable advice. Any additional services not explicitly stated may be subject to additional terms and charges.
3. Quotes and Estimates:
We provide quotes and estimates for Services based on information provided by you. Quotes are valid for 60 days from the date of issue. Estimates are subject to change based on on-site assessment as a quote is based on my observations from a visit or from a photo/video you have supplied. Once the job has started, if I find a problem that I could not have known about before, for example concealed cast iron or lead pipework, or insufficient structural support etc, then I will need to make a new assessment of the additional work that needs to be carried out and provide a revised quote.
4. Payment:
Payment is due within 14 days of completion of Services, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. We accept payment via cash, cheque, bank transfer, or card. Invoices not paid within 14 days are subject to added interest at a rate of BoE base rate +4% per month. Co-op bank details for transfers are BOSTIN PLUMBING LTD. Sort code 089250. 5. Cancellations and Rescheduling:
Cancellations or rescheduling of appointments must be made at least 2 days prior to the scheduled time. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee.
6. Warranty:
We provide a warranty on labour and parts installed during the provision of Services. Duration of guarantee of our workmanship is 12 months. Duration of guarantee for manufacturers items vary. Manufacturers care and maintenance instructions must be followed by the client to maintain any warranty.
7. Liability:
While we strive to deliver high-quality Services, we are not liable for any damages, losses, or injuries resulting from the use of our Services, except in cases of negligence or willful misconduct.
8. Compliance with Laws:
We will perform Services in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure compliance with any building codes, laws or regulations.
9. Access and Site Conditions:
You agree to provide unrestricted access to the premises where Services will be performed at the scheduled time. You are responsible for ensuring that the site is accessible, safe and free from hazards.
10. Termination:
Either party may terminate the agreement for Services at any time with written notice. Termination does not relieve either party of any outstanding obligations.
11. Confidentiality:
We will treat all information provided by you as confidential and will not disclose it to third parties without your consent, except as required by law.
12. Amendments:
These Terms may be amended by the Company from time to time. The amended Terms will be effective upon posting on our website or providing notice to you.
13. All sanitaryware, taps and tiles bought on behalf of the customer now carry a % markup on price to cover:
1. Picking up the product or arranging to have someone available to wait in for a delivery
2. Unpacking, checking, environmentally friendly disposal of packaging inc sanitaryware and pallets
3. Safely storing the item(s) until the job is scheduled
4.Avoiding damage to the item(s) by double transportation
5.Restocking the item(s) if the customer changes their mind.
For all goods bought by our customer, which prove to be defective within 1 year, we will install the customer’s replacement item(s) at 30% discount of our labour price. If our customer has lost their proof of purchase paperwork, we will attempt a repair of the item(s) at 30% discount off our labour price. This markup does not apply to the general plumbing supplies and consumables we use during jobs, such as pipework and fittings etc. You will almost certainly pay this product markup, or often more, with any other plumbing company, for all the reasons above. What other plumbing companies probably won’t do is offer you a discount to replace faulty goods. By doing this we hope we have reached a fair compromise in terms of risk to our small business and maintaining a high level of service to our customers.
14. Governing Law:
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
By engaging our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
